WORKING HAND-IN-HAND FOR COMMUNITY PROGRESS
In collaboration with State Senator Baker’s office, we’ve successfully partnered with the Pennsylvania Game Commission to establish a new future trailhead at the Ecker-Haupt VFW Post. This trailhead will also serve as a dedicated parking area for VFW events, effectively eliminating the need for roadside parking along Route 590 a long-standing safety concern for both event attendees and passing motorists.
Our strong working relationship with the local PennDOT office has resulted in significant improvements to key roadways throughout the township, including Towpath Road, Welcome Lake Road, Route 590, Route 434, and the Kimbles Bridge, enhancing safety, accessibility, and long-term infrastructure reliability.
We’re proud to have an excellent working relationship with our County Commissioners, which has directly benefited our community. Thanks to their support, our EMS services receive an annual grant from the county, helping to ease the financial burden on township residents. Additionally, we’ve secured multiple mini grants through the county-managed Marcellus Mini Grant Program, allowing us to enhance and improve our parks without increasing local taxes.
